A Second Life
By Aleks Muller
Grief Educator and Advocate
Since they died, I feel like I am living a second life.
After my dad, Glenn, suddenly passed away in 2020, I felt that my life was over. A part of me died with my dad, and I believed my time on this earth was coming to a close as the pain of grief was unbearable.
However, something inside of me clicked as I spoke up and shared all my thoughts and emotions with loved ones around me. Piece by piece. I found power through embracing my pain and thrived off celebrating my dad's life. I looked around me and thought, "There have got to be others like me... Why is no one talking about this?"
In 2021, I created the A Second Life podcast, where I share the rawest emotions of grief and tools to find healing, along with the beauties of spirituality and finding our loved ones are still with us.
In 2023, I received my certification as a Grief Educator and Coach and began public speaking for universities to educate those on the grief journey and promoting awareness.
The grief journey is forever, and you have the ability to find beauty within the pain.

Certified Grief Educator by David Kessler and Grief.com
Beyond my own losses and working in podcasting, in July of 2023, I received my Grief Educator certification. With this certification, I have the ability to coach one-on-one and help support those in their grief journey.
Additionally, I have had the absolute pleasure of speaking at my former university, Indiana University, as well as other universities, to educate students about the grief journey, how to support others, and the significance of grief awareness.
It's important we work together to promote grief awareness and normalize speaking on this highly emotional topic.
In my one-on-one sessions, I can offer different tools, perspectives, and definitions to help one navigate their grief. I can provide guidance on peaceful ways to cope, along with learning how to embrace your story.
Beyond coaching, I am here to listen to everything you have to say about your grief, and your loved one.
